Great conditions continue in Alpe d'Huez

Fantastic half-term skiing

featured in Snow report Author Rob Wood, Alpe d'Huez Reporter Updated

Only one of the 103 pistes is closed, meaning there is plenty of space for everyone as the holiday crowds continue to descend upon Alpe d'Huez.

We had a few little top-ups of snow earlier in the week and pistes are all around excellent. Snow depths are good at all altitudes and avalanche risk is at 2/5 for most of the lower slopes, this increases with elevation so be sure to check the latest reports when you are in resort. It is still busy here in Alpe d'Huez but peak holiday traffic is behind us so it should become a little less hectic.

The forecast is for a bit of snow over the weekend, before the temperature drops significantly as a mass of cold Siberian air reaches the Alps.
