    Popular ski-passes
    The Alpe d'Huez Grand Domaine pass covers the whole of the ski area, including Alpe d'Huez, Auris-en-Oisans, Villard-Reculas, Vaujany and Oz-en-Oisans. There are also individual ski passes for Vaujany and Oz en Oisans. However, six-day Grand Domaine area ski passes are the most popular option.

    How to buy ski-passes
    You can buy lift passes online to save time and collect them in resort for free or have them delivered to your home for only €2. If you don't already have a ski pass to recharge, then the hands-free pass is an extra €2. Before you buy anything we recommend you check the weather forecast and/or speak to your accommodation provider, who should be able to advise you on the best option.

    Ski season prices & dates

    The Alpe d'Huez ski season generally runs from early December to end of April each year. For the 2018/19 season, the dates are  December 1st 2018 to April 27th 2019. Depending on the conditions, there are the are three season bands which apply to lift-pass prices.

    Unless otherwise stated, ski passes and prices are generally subject to the following terms:

    • Half-day passes are available from or until 12:30 while night skiing passes are valid after 16:00
    • Prices may vary depending on the date in the season
    • A hands-free pass costs €2 but you can also recharge ones from previous visits to the resort
    • Six to 15-day ski passes include two days in Les 2 Alpes and a day in each of the Grande Galaxie resorts of Serre Chevalier, Puy Saint Vincent, Montgenevre and the Italian Milky Way as well as 25% reduction on a lift pass at La Grave
    • By paying a supplementary fee starting at €20 per person (Pass Loisirs +), all six to 15-day ski passes include unlimited access to the Sports Centre, outdoor pool, ice rink, gym (16 years old and over), table tennis and mini golf (equipment included)
    • Longer duration ski passes are available when you buy online and in resort
    • Prices shown are a guide only, to be confirmed at time of booking; further terms and conditions may apply. Prices may be subject to changes in sales tax

    During the main part of the season, anyone not qualifying for a group or family discounted rate will need an individual's ski pass. There are half-day to 15-day individual passes available.

    Group ski-passes

    Discounted ski pass prices are available in Alpe d'Huez for groups of three or more. The so-called Tribu passes are only available to buy online and must be purchased at least seven days in advance of first skiing day. The Tribu price applies to groups of three to nine people aged 5-71 years, purchasing ski passes for the same dates and duration. Tribu passes are available for six to 15 days.

    Family Ski Passes

    Family ski passes are only available to buy online and must be purchased seven days in advance of first skiing day. The family price applies to groups of at least four people purchasing ski passes for the same dates and duration. The family can be made up of parents, grandparents and mixed family groups but must comprise of at least two children aged 5 to 22 years and a maximum of two adults (23-71 years old). Family passes are available for six to 15 days.

    Beginners ski-passes

    There are two beginner passes in Alpe d'Huez. The 'Débutant' pass allows access to the Rif Nel beginner zone including the Petit and Grand Rif Nel drag lifts and the Rif Nel lift, the Espace des Jeux – a protected beginner area on the Signal sector –, the Sagnes lift and the Ecoles drag lifts. The '1ère Glisse' pass gives access to all drag and chairlifts starting in Alpe d'Huez except the AlpAuris and Marmottes chairlifts. These passes can only be bought at the Ski Pass Offices in resort and are subject to early and late season discounts.

    Snowpark passes

    There's no need to buy a separate snowpark ski pass in Alpe d'Huez since access to the two snowparks in resort is included in all the Grand Domaine ski passes.

    Discounted ski-passes

    Early and late season
    Discounted ski passes in Alpe d'Huez are available early and late in the ski season,  from December 1st to 21st 2018 and from April 13th to 27th 2019, when buying passes online. During these times, the variable snow cover may mean that you are not able to ski in the whole of ski area. 

    Saturdays Promo
    On Saturdays, you can benefit from discounted day rates for skiing with the Saturday Web Special offer. These passes are only available online. Early and late season discounts also apply. Prices depend on when you buy your pass: €31.90 before Tuesday midnight, €37 before Wednesday midnight and €42 before Thursday midnight (if you have a hands-free card, you can also purchase discounted Saturday passes before Friday midnight at €47.50 and on Saturday mornings at €53.50).

    Students
    Student discounts are available on one to three-day ski passes for people 13 to 25 years of age with a student ID. Student ski passes can only be bought at the ticket offices in resort and not online.

    Grand Seniors
    There are also discounted passes for Grand Seniors, 72 years old and over. They are only available at the ski pass offices upon presentation of proof of age.

    Free passes

    Under 5s can use the lifts for free. You will need to provide proof of age (age on the first day of skiing is taken) and collect a hands-free pass from one of the Ski Pass Offices to be able to access the lifts.

    Cross-country ski-passes

    There are six cross-country skiing pistes with a total of 55km in Alpe d'Huez. Cross-country ski passes are only available to buy from the Ski Pass Offices. They give you access to the following lifts: DMC1, Jeux, Télévillage, Télécentre, Poutran drag lift, Grenouilles magic carpet and AlpAuris chairlift in Alpe d'Huez; Auris Express and Louvets chairlift, and Bauchets and Bambin magic carpets in Auris; and Ascenseur and Villarais chairlift in Villard Reculas. Prices are the same as for pedestrian passes (see below).

    Other passes

    Alpe d'Huez Express
    Alpe d'Huez Express is a subscription-based, pay-per-use pass available to holders of a French bank account. Membership costs €15 per person and your account is automatically charged after each day of skiing, depending on how much you have skied. You benefit from special discounts and savings on weekends and throughout the winter season.

    10-day Card
    Undated, non-consecutive 10-day passes can be bought for €433 (€43.30 per day) and can be used anytime between December 1st 2018 and April 27th 2019 (subject to snow conditions). No refunds or credit are given for any days remaining unused at the end of the season.

    Ski insurance

    Prices shown above do not include insurance which costs an additional €3 euros per person, per day. When purchasing Family or Tribe ski passes, the price is €2.25 per person, per day. Insurance in Alpe d'Huez is provided by Assur'Glisse and covers for search and rescue, lift pass refunds in case of accident or illness, repatriation and medical expenses.
