    Popular ski-passes
    There is one main ski pass for the Alpe d'Huez ski area, the Alpe d'Huez Grande Domaine pass. The Grande Domaine pass covers the whole of the ski area. There are and separate prices for Vaujany & Oz en Oisans, smaller resorts on the periphery of the Alpe d'Huez ski area. The most popular ski passes are the 6 day Grande Domaine area ones, and these are suitable for most visitors to Alpe d'Huez.

    How to buy ski-passes
    You can buy lift passes online to save time, directly via the lift-company, collect your ski passes in resort for free or have them delivered to your home for only €2.

    Ski season prices & dates

    The Alpe d'Huez ski season generally runs from early December to end of April each year. For the 2017/18 season, the dates are 2nd December 2017 to 21st April 2018. Depending on the conditions, there are the are three season bands which apply to lift-pass prices.

    Unless otherwise stated, the following applies to ski passes in Alpe d'Huez: 

    • Half day pass are available from or until 12:30, or End of Day passes after 15:00.
    • Prices may vary depending on the date in the season
    • A hands-free pass costs 2 Euros or you can re-charge ones from previous visits to the resort
    • As well as use of the lifts, your ski pass includes admission to night skiing and night sledging subject to opening periods and weather conditions
    • From 20€ per child and 25€ per adult a 6 to 15-day ski pass can include unlimited access to the Sports Centre, outdoor pool, ice rink, gym, table tennis and mini golf. It also includes two days in Les 2 Alpes and a day in each of the Grande Galaxie resorts of Serre Chevalier, Puy Saint Vincent, Montgenevre, the Italian Milky Way and 25% reduction on a lift pass at La Grave (Only from 23rd December 2017 to 6th April 2018)
    • Saturday Web Special prices are valid when you buy on-line before Tuesday midnight, after that time the price goes up every day
    • To collect your pre-ordered ski passes in resort you'll need to go to either the Bergers or the 1800 Lift Pass Offices
    • Longer duration ski passes are available when you buy online and in resort

    Group ski-passes

    Discounted ski pass prices are available in Alpe d'Huez for groups of 3 or more (Tribu). These passes are only available to buy on line and must be purchased at least 7 days in advance of first skiing day. The Tribu price applies to groups of at least 3 people, aged 5-71 years, purchasing ski passes for the same dates and duration.

    Family Ski Passes

    Family ski passes are only available to buy on line and must be purchased 7 days in advance of first skiing day. The Family price applies to groups of at least 4 people purchasing ski passes for the same dates and duration. The family can be made up of parents, grandparents and mixed family groups but must comprise of at least two children aged 5-22 years and a maximum of two adults.

    Beginners ski-passes

    Alpe d'Huez beginner ski passes give access to the Grand Rif Nel, the Rif Nel and the Ecole 1 drag lifts. Rif Nel, Ecoles 2 drag lifts and the Grenouilles magic carpet are FREE, although you will need to pick up a hands-free pass from one of the Ski Pass Offices to be able to access these lifts. 

    The 1st Glisse pass allows you on all drag and chair lifts in Alpe d'Huez except the Alpauris and Marmottes 1 chair lifts. This pass includes the Rif Nel beginner zone, 6 green pistes and the Espace des Jeux beginner zone; a protected beginner area on the Signal sector of resort. All the drag lifts and chairlifts marked with a yellow circle on the piste map (not the interactive one) are included in the 1st Glisse pass. These passes can only be bought at the Ski Pass Offices in resort.

    Snowpark passes

    There's no need to buy a separate snowpark ski pass in Alpe d'Huez since access to the two snowparks in resort is included in all the Grande Domaine (full area) ski passes.

    Discounted ski-passes

    Discounted ski passes in Alpe d'Huez are available early and late in the ski season; from 2nd-22nd December 2017 and from 7th-21st April 2018, when buying passes online. During these times, the variable snow cover may mean that you are not able to ski in the whole of ski area. 

    On Saturdays you can benefit from discounted day rates for skiing with the Saturday Web Special offer (see prices above). These passes are only available online and are only valid on Saturdays. You must book before Tuesday midnight to benefit from the cheapest prices, as after that the prices go up a little bit each day. Early and late season discounts also apply to these passes. 

    Beginner ski passes and 1st Glisse passes are also subject to early and late season discounts.

    Student discounts are only available on 1-day ski passes for people under 25 years of age with student ID. Student ski passes can only be bought at the ticket offices in resort and not online.

    There are also discounted passes for Grand Seniors, 72 years old and over. They are only available at the ski pass offices upon presentation of proof of age.

    Free passes

    Under 5's can use the lifts for free. You will need to provide proof of age (age on the first day of skiing is taken) and collect a hands-free pass from one of the Ski Pass Offices to be able to access the lifts. 

    Some beginner ski lifts are free to use: Rif Nel, Ecoles 2 drag lifts and the Grenouilles magic carpet. You will need to pick up a hands-free pass from one of the Ski Pass Offices to be able to use them. 

    Cross-country ski-passes

    Alpe d'Huez cross-country ski passes are only available to buy from the Ski Pass Offices and you can choose passes either with or without lift access. Even if you're not using the lifts, you need to be in possession of a Cross-country ski card, as spot check will be undertaken on the mountain. Free passes are available for state-qualified cross-country ski instructors and these can also be collected from the Ski Pass Offices.

    Season passes

    Season ski passes for Alpe d'Huez and La Grave are available for individuals to buy as a Duo season deal. They are valid in Alpe d'Huez on weekends in November and 2nd Dec 2017-21st April 2018. For La Grave, they're valid from 23rd Dec 2017-29th April 2018. Full price season passes just for Alpe d'Huez can be bought for €905 or just La Grave for €845.     Annual passes

    Annual ski passes in Alpe d'Huez are available for individuals for winter 2018-18 and summer 2018. They can also be bought for cross-country skiing. Annual passes for over 72's can be bought at the ticket offices for €295.50. To collect your annual passes in resort after placing your order, you'll need to go to either the Bergers or the 1800 Ski Pass Offices

    Other passes

    Ski first, pay later with Alpe d'Huez Express. This is a subscription-based pass available to holders of a French bank account. Membership costs €20 per person and your account is automatically charged after each day of skiing, depending on how much you have skied. You benefit from special discounts and savings on weekends and throughout the winter season.

    Undated 10-day passes can be bought for €423 (€42.30 per day) and can be used anytime between 2nd December 2017 & 21st April 2018 (subject to snow conditions). No refunds or credit are given for any days remaining unused at the end of the season.

    Ski insurance

    Prices shown above do not include insurance, but it only costs an additional 3 euros per person per day. If you're in a family of 4 or more, or in a group of three or more buying Tribe ski passes, you only pay €2.25 per person. Insurance in Alpe d'Huez is with Assur'Glisse and covers you for search and rescue, lift pass refunds in case of accident or illness, repatriation and medical expenses.
