Whether you fancy a trip to the PicBlanc, a peaceful and tranquil tour of the historic church or the hustle and bustle of an ice hockey match there’s always plenty of things to do away from the slopes.

Here's what's on the entertainment programme in Alpe d'Huez over the next two weeks.

Friday 6th January

  • 2.30pm – Discover curling session at the ice rink – 1 hour minutes in duration – Free entry

Saturday 7th January

  • The Alpe d’Huez cup – all day at the Signal slope at the top end of town. A slalom competition for the very best of the young talent between the ages of 8 and 16 years. Your chance to see up close the stars of the future.  Free entry.

Sunday 8th January

  • The Alpe d’Huez cup – all day at the Signal slope at the top end of town. A slalom competition for the very best of the young talent between the ages of 8 and 16 years. Your chance to see up close the stars of the future. Free entry.
  • 7pm – Ice hockey match at the ice rink – The local boys of Alpe d’Huez take on Chambery. 2 hour duration. Free entry.

Monday 9th January

  • 6pm – Welcome drinks at tourist office in the old town. 1 hour duration.  Free entry.

Tuesday 10th January

  • 10.30am – Guided tour to the summit of the Pic Blanc at 3300 metres. 2 hour duration. Open to all. €5 cost.
  • 2.30pm – Discover curling session at the ice rink – 1 hour minutes in duration – Free entry
  • 5pm – Night luge on the floodlight Eclose slope, behind the leisure centre. 8 years and over.  Free with a lift pass or €1.50 for 1 run or €5 for runs without a lift pass.
  • 6pm – Badminton and volley ball evening at the leisure centre. 8 years and over. 2 hours duration.  Free entry

Wednesday 11th January

  • 2.30pm – Guided tour of the historic church of our lady of the snow. 1 hour 30 minutes in duration. Open to all. €5 cost.
  • 5.30pm – Guided visit and tour of the museum of local Huez and Oisans region. 1 hour 30 minutes in duration. Open to all. Free entry with a carte premium pass or €5 without a pass.
  • 6pm – Badminton tournament at the leisure centre. 12 years and over. 2 hour duration. Free entry.

Thursday 12th January

  • 10.30am – Guided tour to the summit of the Pic Blanc at 3300 metres. 2 hour duration. Open to all. €5 cost.
  • 5pm – Night luge on the floodlight Eclose slope, behind the leisure centre. 8 years and over. Free with a lift pass or €1.50 for 1 run or €5 for runs without a lift pass.
  • 5.30pm – Indoor adults football tournament at the leisure centre. Free entry. 2 hours duration.
  • 6.15pm – Classical music concert at the church, behind the leisure centre. Pierre Queval plays the Bach, Bruxehude and Vierne on the organ. €10 entry or €5 for students, over 65’s and carte premium holders.

  • 2.30pm – Discover curling session at the ice rink – 1 hour minutes in duration – Free entry

Saturday 14th January

  • Ice hockey exhibition at the ice rink in the middle of town. 2 hour duration. Free entry.

Monday 16th January

  • 10.45pm – Firework display at the Signal slope at the top end of town as part of the ongoing 80th anniversary of Alpe d’Huez celebrations.
