Watch Star Wars Rogue One in Alpe d'Huez
Premier in resort screens next week
The latest, and much anticipated, instalment in the Star Wars story – Rogue One - is to be shown in version original in English next Monday (11th January) at Le Palais cinema in the leisure centre in the middle of town.
The screening starts at 8.30pm and the film is 2 hours 14 minutes in length.
The story centres on the period shortly before the “original” (and best in my opinion) Star Wars movie that first aired in cinemas in 1977 and is based around the rebels plans to destroy the Empires Death Star.
Without spoiling the whole of the plot, the film centres around how the rebels get their hands on the plans in order to blow up the Death Star, the most powerful weapon in the galaxy – thus enabling Luke Skywalker to do his stuff in the 1977 classic.
The cast includes both Forest Whittaker and former Bond baddie Mads Mickelson
The movie has received rave reviews from both critics and fans alike, so why not take this opportunity to watch this great film whilst you are here in resort.
The cinema costs €8.50 for adults (€7.50 with a carte premium) and given the popularity of the Star Wars franchise booking is recommended as many seasonnaires, ex-pats and visitors are sure to be in attendance.
Bookings can be made by calling the cinema on +33 4 76 11 21 64 or +33 4 76 11 21 41 (English spoken).
The cinema is located just inside the main foyer of the leisure centre, on the left hand side.
May the force be with you...
