April may be round the corner but there’s still plenty to do away from the slopes here in Alpe d'Huez.

Here’s the latest entertainments programme up to Sunday 2nd April 2017.

Saturday 25th March

  • 8.20am "Prems on the Sarenne" Early opening of the DMC to allow first access to the Sarenne
  • 9am to 3pm – OFE X Weekend - Day 1 up at the DMC slope. Local ski cross legend Ophelie David hosts her annual ski cross weekend including ski cross races for 11 to 14 year olds
  • 6pm to 10pm – An Italian evening at the leisure centre to celebrate the close relationship between Alpe d’Huez and its twin town Bormio in Italy.
  • 6pm to 7pm – Art exhibition at the leisure centre

Sunday 26th March

  • 9am to 3pm – OFE X Weekend continues up at the DMC slope. Local ski cross legend Ophelie David hosts her annual ski cross weekend including ski cross races for 11 to 14 year olds
  • 4pm to 6pm – Ice garden and games at the ice rink. 5 to 12 year olds. Free entry, but skate hire is required
  • 7pm – Exhibition of ice hockey at the ice rink. Free entry. 2 hours

Monday 27th March

  • 10am to 1pm – Ice garden and games at the ice rink. 5 to 12 year olds. Free entry, but skate hire is required
  • 6pm – Welcome drinks at tourist office in the old town. 1 hour duration. Free entry.

Tuesday 28th March

  • 10.30am – Guided tour to the summit of the Pic Blanc at 3300 metres. 2 hour duration. Open to all. €2 cost
  • 2.30pm – Discover curling session at the ice rink – 1 hour 30 minutes in duration – Free entry

Wednesday 29th March

  • 10am to 1pm – Ice garden and games at the ice rink. 5 to 12 year olds. Free entry, but skate hire is required
  • 2.30pm – Guided tour of the historic church of our lady of the snow. 1 hour 30 minutes in duration. Open to all. €5 cost
  • 5.30pm – Guided visit and tour of the museum of local Huez and Oisans region. 1 hour 30 minutes in duration. Open to all. Free entry with a carte premium pass or €5 without a pass

Thursday 30th March

  • 10.30am – Guided tour to the summit of the Pic Blanc at 3300 metres. 2 hour duration. Open to all. €2 cost
  • 5pm to 8pm – Night luge on the floodlight Eclose slope, behind the leisure centre. 8 years and over. Free with a lift pass or €1.50 for 1 run or €5 for runs without a lift pass
  • 5.30pm to 8pm – Night/floodlight skiing on the Signal slope at the top end of town until 8pm. Free with your lift pass or €11 without a lift pass
  • 6.15pm – Classical music concert at the church, behind the leisure centre. €10 entry or €5 for students, over 65’s and carte premium holders

Friday 31st March

  • 10am to 1pm – Ice garden and games at the ice rink. 5 to 12 year olds. Free entry, but skate hire is required
  • 2.30pm – Discover curling session at the ice rink – 1 hour 30 minutes in duration – Free entry
  • 6pm to 8pm – 12th Annual Alpe d’Huez comic book festival at the leisure centre. Free entry

Ski the Sarenne all Season Long in Alpe d'Huez

Saturday 1st April

Patinoire Exterieure Municipale (Ice Rink)

  • 4pm to 6pm – Ice garden and games at the ice rink. 5 to 12 year olds. Free entry, but skate hire is required
  • 5pm to 8pm – 12th Annual Alpe d’Huez comic book festival concludes at the leisure centre. Free entry
  • 7pm to 9pm – Exhibition of ice hockey at the ice rink. Free entry. 2 hours
