Megavalanche 2016 results

That's it for another epic week of riding and racing at the 2016 Megavalanche.. the snow was deeper and longer than it's been in the past 5 years, creating much more challenging conditions for the riders taking part this year.

Remy Absalon took the win again this year with a scorching time of 43 minutes 19. Matti Lehikoinen came in 11th place with a time of 47:20 and Cedric Gracia in 18th with a time of 49:25. There were 326 finishers in the main race this year, with 193 in the Mega affinity and 323 in the Mega Challenger.

In the women's race Pauline Dieffenthaler took the win in 51:53. Nina Mecua Jensen came in 16th with 1:06:51 and Claudia Clement with 1:11:58 with Gemma Bond taking 27th place in 1:20:15. There were 43 finishers in total this year.

20 people took part in the e-Bike challenge with the winning rider coming down in 40 minutes 14 seconds. Find the men's results, the women's results and all the other results from race day and qualifiers.
