The annual British Universities Ski Championships are heading to Alpe d’Huez between 25th and 30th March 2017. Around 2600 ski-mad students are set to descend on Alpe d’Huez for their annual alpine festival.

Run under the festival banner of “Above & Below” there will be lots of competitions including Alpine ski racing (slalom and GS), snowboard racing, boarderX, ski freestlye (rail, jam, slopestyle and Big Air), snowboard freestyle (rail, jam, slopestyle and Big Air), mixed discipline events and team events, the action on the slopes will be full on.

And in true Alpe d’Huez style the apres ski is sure to lively as well with a host of massive events at the Palais des Congres et des Sports, the “Below Arena” events will no doubt be rocking.

In addition to events at the congress centre there are events planned all around resort with Smithys Tavern, as always, providing a hub for the apres shenanigans. There’s going to be a pool party, a huge daytime picnic, acoustic music events and an Austrian theme apres ski evening, “Hammershlagen” planned as well.

It’s sure to make a fun filled week here in resort.
