ESF Cross Country Skiing, Alpe d'Huez
Learn to cross-country ski or perfect your technique
Cross-country skiing is the perfect way to enjoy the peace and scenery of the Alps. This ski school offers lessons every weekday morning to teach you the technique of this graceful sport.
Open to adults and children, you and your instructor will set off round the marked cross-country trails.
Easy to learn and a great exercise, this form of skiing can be taken as slow or fast as you like - the trails are mostly flat so your speed depends on how energetic you want to be.
Once you have mastered the basics, this is a fun sport for people of all ages and abilities, great for mixed groups and families.
Lessons are offered for beginners or more advanced cross-country skiers, only on mornings during the week. You could also combine cross-country skiing with Biathlon in a private taster session - ask for details.
The meeting point is in the Bergers area of Alpe d'Huez, by the shopping centre.

This trip is aimed at those with some cross-country experience already and lasts for around 2 hours. You will need to bring cross-country skis and poles and water.
Biathlon (Difficulty 1/5)

It is a great alternative to the ski slopes! The idea is to enjoy a real adventure together whatever your level. An introduction to biathlon lesson opens the door to an enjoyable sport.
