This charming contemporary yet homely chalet won the ’Alpine Chalet of the Year’ at the 2001 Golden Ski Awards. It is situated in the picturesque village of Vaujany which links directly to the Alpe d'Huez ski area via cable car.
A luxury catered ski chalet, Saskia has consistently been the most popular choice amongst guests since it was built by Ski Peak in 2000. Thanks to the combination of its picture-postcard location on the south facing, sun-drenched slopes of Vaujany and its smart and stylish interior, it has become their flagship chalet.
Chalet Saskia has been fitted with everything to make your holiday as relaxing as possible, including a number of little luxuries such as iPod docks in every room, boot warmers in the ski room and underfloor heating.
The large living room has plenty of comfortable sofas and wood burning stove for a cosy winter evening atmosphere. To keep you entertained there is a flat screen TV and DVD player with a DVD library so you can switch off in-front of a film after an active day on the slopes or if you still have the energy you can play table tennis and the various board games on offer.
WiFi access is available throughout the chalet so you'll have no trouble with keeping up with friends and families whilst on your holiday. Most importantly, there is an outdoor hot tub at this chalet with fantastic panoramic view over the valley. Sitting in the jacuzzi is the perfect apres ski activity, where you can completely unwind and soothe any aching muscles. There is also a brand new sauna.
The chalet is just 200 metres from the local lift station making it easy for you to get on the mountain each day, it is also the same distance to the local sports complex with indoor pool.
The unique mirror-image design of the chalet allows it to be used as a whole, taking advantage of all ten fully en-suite bedrooms.

Sleeping
The chalet can sleep a total of 26 people in 10 bedrooms.
The east wing sleeps 10 people (up to 13) in 5 bedrooms:
- Bedroom 1: twin beds, balcony, en-suite bathroom and WC.
- Bedroom 2: double and single bed, balcony, en-suite bathroom and WC.
- Bedroom 3: double bed, balcony, en-suite shower and WC.
- Bedroom 4: double and single bed, balcony, en-suite bathroom and WC, ‘an eaves room’.
- Bedroom 5: Double and single bed, balcony, en-suite bathroom and WC, ‘an eaves room’.
The west wing also sleeps 10 people (up to 13) in 5 bedrooms:
- Bedroom 1: twin beds, balcony, en-suite bathroom and WC.

Dining
The chalet is let on a self-catered basis as standard, but catering can be arranged via ‘The Chalet Chef’, the local catering specialist. Just let them know your plans when booking and they can introduce/advise you.
