This chalet is set off a quiet road leading through La Villette, which is linked to the Alpe d'Huez ski area. It is a quintessential French Alpine chalet, converted from an old farmhouse, oozes character and charm with an abundance of wood and grey mountain stone.
There is plenty of atmosphere in this old Alpine farmhouse. You will enjoy your meals in the former milking parlour which has been transformed into a spacious dining room with the original vaulted ceiling still intact. For that additional touch, the room includes a crackling open log fire.
The homely living room is a mix of modern leather and comfortable traditional sofas and armchairs where you can relax at the end of the day in front of a DVD or enjoy a glass of wine. From this room, there is access to a balcony where you can take in the breathtaking mountain views.
WiFi access is available throughout the chalet so you can still keep up with the world outside of the ski resort whilst on your holiday if you wish. There is also a washing machine and tumble dryer so, if you are travelling with young children or are planning a longer break, you can still pack lightly. The ski room includes boot warmers so you won't have to struggle with pull on cold footwear each morning before heading out to the pistes.
As part of your stay in Rostaing, you’ll also be provided with lifts to Vaujany, its shops, swimming pool and lift station or to the restaurant of your choice on the chalet staff's night off. Staying in La Villette is quite a special experience, few hamlets retain such history, traditions and charm whilst being only three minutes from a modern ski resort.

The chalet can sleep up to 11 guests in 6 bedrooms:
- Bedroom 1. 1 Double bed, shared bathroom and wc.
- Bedroom 2. 1 Double bed and 1 single, shared bathroom and wc.
- Bedroom 3. 1 Double bed, en-suite bathroom, wc and balcony. (can add an extra camp bed if required)
- Bedroom 4. 1 Double bed and 1 single, en-suite bathroom, wc and balcony
- Bedroom 5. 2 Single beds, en-suite bathroom, wc and separate shower.
- Bedroom 6 ‘eaves room’. 1 Double bed, 2 singles, en-suite bathroom and wc.
Dining
The chalet is let on a self-catered basis as standard, but catering can be arranged via ‘The Chalet Chef’, the local catering specialist. Just let them know your plans when booking and they can introduce/advise you.
