Rather than trusting the forecasters you can watch the weather patterns and draw your own conclusions.

The pictures are all colour-enhanced to help clearly show the outlines of the the landmasses, and the satellites use infrared imaging to accurately map cloud patterns - even at night when, of course, clouds wouldn't normally be visible.
