Alpe d'Huez Snow Report: 3rd April 2014

A mild week with warmer temperatures due after the weekend

featured in Snow report Author Ellie Mahoney, Alpe d'Huez Editor Updated

It's been a week of light winds and temperatures just above freezing, but sadly not much sun. The snow clouds have come over again, but don't promise much more than a few light flurries in the next couple of evenings.

Take a look at the video from Will Norman for how the pistes are looking just now.

On piste there's plenty of snow cover, although as you'd expect at this time of year it gets a bit slushy lower down later in the day. The best thing to do is to get out early to enjoy firmer snow, and head up as high as you can... and then there's always ski touring or cross country skiing, if you've got the kit and the inclination.. :-)

Enjoy the last few weeks - Vaujany & Oz ski areas are set to close on the 21st April, with the main ADH area closing on the 26th.
