Alpe d'Huez Snow Report: 25th February 2014

Suck up the sunshine today, and get ready for more snow!!

featured in Snow report Author Ellie Mahoney, Alpe d'Huez Editor Updated

Conditions have been pretty good recently with around 2.5m of snow at the top of the mountain (yes not as much as the Scottish ski resorts with their 4-5m) but then you've not got as big a ski area and such amazing views as you have in Alpe d'Huez!

Check out this short video from Falkenberg to see what Alpe d'Huez is looking like this week..

The snow's going to re-appear tonight and carry on into tomorrow, with around 10 cm falling, then repeat this on Friday, and then another dump is expected on Saturday night of around 15cm with snow continuing into Sunday. So make the most of the sunshine today as the snow clouds are going to be coming over for most of the rest of this week...

Resorts across the Alps are still busy with Parisien half term holiday makers, but the crowds should be easing off again after this weekend. Here's to having a bit more space on the pistes, in the cafes & restaurants and some more quiet time on the mountain to enjoy the views!
