La Folie Douce, Alpe d'Huez

THE apres ski place to be in Alpe d'Huez with live music at 2300m

Party central La Folie Douce opens its doors in Alpe d'Huez in winter 2013/14. Expect wild apres ski parties, DJs, dancing on tables and beer flowing a-plenty.

After a great day on the mountain, skiers and boarders flock to the Folie's terraces in Val d'Isere, Val Thorens and Meribel, we don't expect Alpe d'Huez to be any different!

Luc Reversade, the owner of this famous chain, has succeeded in bring the dance floors of Ibiza, Turkey and Florida to the middle of the ski slopes. Nothing stood in the way of his dream becoming reality; all the outside bars even have specially heated-column pumps to stop the beer from freezing in sub-zero temperatures!

Not only can you dance in the open air and get a drink (or three) at the Folie, there is also a brasserie called La Fruitère or the self-service restaurant called 'NuvoSelf' for something to eat.

Find everything at the top of the Marmottes lift. You'll be glad to hear the run back to resort is only an easy blue and should be manageable for most apres hounds!
