The France Montagnes association, a group of French mountain professional organistaions, have decided on an objective of world leader in the ski market during their second general assembly.
The association which was founded in 2010 is made up of three professional organisations (Ecole de Ski Francais, Domaine Skiables de France and the Association Nationale des Maires des Stations de Montagne), with a main function to promote the French mountain resorts to various markets via different means of communications, media relations and events.

After we April Fooled about summer skiing in Alpe d'Huez, it seems like we may of hatched a new idea, as Alpe d'Huez have decided to open for summer skiing. The resort will be open for a very limited period from the 30th of June through to the 1st of July and all skiers will need to sign-up beforehand.

During a local council meeting last week, officials have unanimously adopted an agreement of the linking of the five municipalities of Le Freney, Auris, Mont-de-Lans, Venosc & Huez. With this agreement the Alpe d'Huez - Les Deux Alpes liaison is to be brought back under the spotlight.
